My uncle turned his basement into a really cool game room.

After much nudging on my part he submitted his work to HGTV's show Look What I Did! - a show about do-it-yourself'ers that did some amazing work.

I helped him set up a lot of the machines. Here in PA there are quite a few excellent auctions on arcade machines. We bought a 100% condition Afterburner (cockpit, moving gyros - toss your cookies) for 5 bucks once. It was a shame we couldn't fit that monster in the basement even after removing the double doors. A forklift was required to move that behemoth. One thing we learned that was fun, your typical arcade only had the movement set to 40%. We cranked it to 100% for a night but it would literally toss us out.

He bought Medieval Madness after I told him it was easily the best pinball ever made. It's probably his most prized possession now, it gets the most play of anything down there. The Madness craze must've caught on afterward, they're impossible to find anymore.

I didn't realize how many of the guys from Jackass lived in PA until we bumped into so many of them at every arcade auction we went to.

Anyway, July 25th 6:00pm EST its on again. He's goofy guy with the Pennsylvania Game Chamber.

His water garden is on another episode but it hasn't re-aired yet.

By far my favorite place to hang out and play arcade/video games.

Let me know what you think.

Sounds like a great time. I've always been concerned about fixing old games but I guessing he's got that part ironed out. If you get a chance to post photos, I'd love to see 'em!
