Just asking......why ? Wolfgang has the largest screen on the forum at about 20' wide but it is 2.35:1.

well, i like the look of an IMAX theater :D
mega high stadium, gigantic screen. yet i don't like watching a scope film on such a screen

perhaps sophisticated masking system could create a nice combination. high ceiling is compulsory of course. a 4M wide scope/IMAX (masking screen) (and curved :D ) would require something like 4/1.37 + 2x50cm (top bottom)= 3.91m ceiling heightCould allow say 4 rows of 0 50 100 150cm heights (IMAX stadium).

It could be a problem for the projector v shift though if the scope format is centered in IMAX format screen.

Not for a basement given the ceiling height. more like an annex to the house.

Runco uses their own system of quoting fL on I think it's a 100" screen. You have to then convert to lumens to get what it would be on a 252" screen like Wolfgang has.

The Runco CSMS uses a 6 foot wide 1.78:1 screen (Stewart Studiotek 130) in a black hole (think Darrin's room). Which is why the SC-1 had a rating of something like 250 ftL; REALLY BIG PROJECTOR, REALLY SMALL SCREEN!

That was before the latest iteration. I assume at the request of Runco Christie is using aperture plates.

That will be the next gen TOL Runco.

It must be the height of the room. The screen is only 171"wide.
