Well we signed up for BB Online because a store near us had BD discs, but not our local store. So we'd get BD online and swap them for free SD discs locally.

We put 30 BD movies in our que. They shipped me 2...The Untouchables, and a guitar artist on BD. The guitar disc, which was poorly done, didn't even look like it had been sent out before.

It took them a week to gather together those 2 discs. We returned them and it took them an additional 3 days to send us out ONE disc, Hellboy, to arrive 2 days from today, 5 days total.

None of the other movies available in our que have been sent out(we have the 2 disc plan) even though Reds shows available. Nothing else in our que is available.

The BB store did not get any new BD releases on Tuesday either....and they are not sure if they will get 300 on BD on this upcoming Tuesday.

We're not too impressed so far and I did email them but the customer droid just gave us some instructions on how to fill up our que

Anyone had any better experience?

I've had a good experience with Netflix. I joined about a year ago, and with the exception of SG-1 discs, everything I've rented has been HD DVD. I've seen some people complain of having to wait for HD DVDs, but I've had the opposite experience. I think there has been one time that I received my No. 2 item because No. 1 wasn't available. Every other time my discs have come in the order they appear in my queue.

I can't think of any reason why renting BR would not be just as good an experience. Maybe try both for awhile, and cancel the one that comes in second place?

My experience so far with BB online has been just as good as Netflix was for me (not great, but good). I signed up less than a month ago and they have shipped me six movies out of my queue (2 at a time) on BD. I had one movie that had some problems playing, but the rest have been great. You are moving the "available" movies to the top of your queue right? Movies usually process within 24 hours after I return them. So far, I am pretty happy. I think they need to get some more stock on some of the big name titles as they always appear to be out, but I had the same experience with Netflix.

When did you return them? They aren't open on weekends, so if you return them to the store on Friday, new ones won't even ship until Monday.

Also, depends where the nearest distribution center is. I have a Netflix center about 5 miles from my house, so I can throw a Netflix DVD in the mail, and have one back in 2 days (one day to get there, and one day to get back).

For BB, the distribution center is in another state (Maryland, and I'm in PA). I've learned I need to get them back to the store on Wednesday in order to get new ones by Saturday (or again, I have to wait until Monday). Sometimes I seem to get lucky and get them by Friday (one day shipping) but it's not often. Usually I return on Wednesday, they ship on Thursday, and I get them Saturday.

This week I didn't return them until Thursday, and the new ones shipped Friday, but didn't make to me today (Saturday), so I have to wait until Monday. Thankfully I have my free rentals from the store for the weekend.

Also, if all you have is HD discs in your queue, they're going to take longer. I've loaded my queue up with 124 movies, about 30 of which are HD. I haven't had too much trouble getting the HD discs though (note: they're HD DVDs, not BD)

BB was slow for BD titles for me, reason I switched to Netflix.

I might switch to Netflix...BB is getting really bad with shipping any BD or HD DVD titles. Too long of waits!

MY BB membership has been great. I've gotten 7 or so BD/HDDVD and I've exchanged all of them for BD/HDDVDs at the store. Plus, I've gotten $2 off Wii game rentals with about half of them.

I am a recent BB online member, and really think it is a great deal. From BB online, the movies have been down the list and somewhat questionable, but have not had great delays.

In store they have been great. Free Blu-ray rental with each movie returned. Including new releases. I got Premonition this week. I was impressed.

Almost all BDs in my queue are "LONG WAIT". BD is useless for online BDs. However, they now have local BDs. So, I am going to rent SD-DVDs online and exchange them for local BDs. I have netflix too but I am going to cancel end of this month.

I am actually using both, availability is seems much better for BD with Netflix, but I love the in store option of blockbuster.

There is a format neutral thread comparing NETFLIX and BB for HD movie rentals in the HD DVD Software forum. The thread also has a poll. I rent both HD formats and have found NETFLIX to be superior to BB for renting both HD formats.

I just canceled my BB online account for the same reason. Last month, BB shipped me "0" BD movies that were in my queue. That's a zero as in nada, zip, zilch. When I canceled my acount, I made sure to mention my reason for cancelling.
