Hi,

It has almost been 2 years since you posted this message and I don't see any replies. Have you found a solution to your issue?

I have the same cable box and provider and d/led the user manual which says that the USB port is only used for attaching a keyboard or an IR device.

We now have new devices that allow connection of TV to PC and vice versa. I am currently looking for one that may work.

Cheers.
Horace

You use Firewire for that but there are channels that are flagged so you can't record them over FW. The SA 4250HDC and SA 3250HD can record over firewire if you have the right drivers for it. The USB port isn't designed for video btw.
