I really enjoy the sound from my front-firing, SVS PB10-NSD sub but have a practical problem on my hands. How do you protect the fabric grill on this sub? The cleaning people were here yesterday and saw them bump right into the sub without giving it a moments thought. In addition, the fabric is a real magnet for dust and dog hair.

Is anybody aware of a black plastic guard that protects the bottom three inches or so of this sub? Any solutions if not available.

I realize the value of a down-firing sub at this point. Probably should have gone with the HSU given what appears to be a longterm issue with a fabric grill so close to the floor.

Help here would be greatly appreciated.

I place a piece of plywood in front of my sub when I'm not in the room. Now it's "cat proof".

I've heard some people buying an excess slab of granite and using it to help isolate the sub- if it were slightly larger than the sub, it'd help with the cleaning issues.

Elevate it, build a box the same size with the height you want. This will also help isolating it from the floor, win win situation, you can also cover the box with black fabric to make it match.

You can put in an entertainment center like the picture below. My kids haven’t even touched it once! They used to always push the buttons on the front of the Yamaha sub I had in there before I got the SVS.

Nice Subwoofer. Did you push the kids buttons too? :D
