What if any are the key differences between the Audyssey products and the Copland / DDRC based products?

Hard to say. Neither company is very forthcoming about their technology. I have used the Audyssey and it is effective. Dynaton make claims for DDRC which are somewhat over-reaching but, since I have no useful objective information about how it works, I cannot be certain.

"Dynaton make claims for DDRC which are somewhat over-reaching..."
That's an undertatement - " * All room acoustics problems are removed with Dynaton DDRC, and the intended sound — or audio performance — of the artists and equipment manufacturers is always obtained in all rooms.... — all equipment and room inefficiencies are automatically removed...no mechanical room acoustics treatments are necessary — No more compromising on the aesthetics of the room as Dynaton DDRC is significantly more efficient than any other room acoustics treatment."
I've never heard of Dynaton; have you, Kal? Any user feedback?

I've never heard of Dynaton; have you, Kal? Any user feedback?I've never heard of them but I was conservative (or hyperbolic?) in my criticism since extravagant claims are common in this industry. Also, although I have never heard of Dynaton, I have heard of Copeland and their adoption of DDRC gives it a little credibility.
