I have the movie Cast Away in my Netflix queue. I couple of days ago I noticed the format selection drop down had appeared for it. When I clicked it there was an option for Blu-ray. After selecting Blu-ray it went into the Saved section and shows Availability as "Aug 2007".

I didn't remember any mention of this being released on Blu-ray in August. I searched Hi Def Digest and this forum but didn't see any mention of it other than it was announced at one time but then delayed. Not sure what to make of it but thought it was worth posting. Let the wild speculation begin. :D

Mistake.

It was originally coming out back in June, but that was before Fox pulled every title they announced at CES.

It may be a mistake at NetFlix, but the Blu-ray version of Cast Away moved from my Saved area to the main Queue and now shows a release date of Aug 28. I have some other movies in my queue which were announced for HD DVD or Blu-ray release and postponed, but they now all list the release date as unknown. It will be interesting to see if the mistake is listing a Blu-ray that will not be released on Aug 28, or listing a date which should have waited for an official announcement.
