Hey guys,

Without going into a lot of detail, I need to test a tube without gylcol in the LC chamber - all I need to see is if it lights up, so 10 seconds at the max. I would think that this amount of time is no problem, but has anyone done this before?

No problem. VDC sent me a tube once without glycol in it. It burned the phosphor in 45 minutes..:( But less than a minute shouldn't be an issue).

Thanks Curt! I figured that with the amount of mass the tube face has, it would take more than a few seconds to burn up/crack but I wanted to make sure. Off to test the tube before bed :)
