I have this from Netflix and just popped it in and am having a small problem. I have no subtitles. I cant tell if it is the disc or the player. I have tried all settings on the player (samsung 1200) to see if I have something set up wrong. Nothing worked.

The movies plays when it is put in, without having to select 'play movie'

If you do click disc menu it brings up a menu that has no options for sounds, languages, or scene selections.

Oddly enough this is the same menu screen as Blood Diamond, which I watched all the way through with subtitles on. Nothing in the menu to turn them off.

Any help would be appreciated.

Could it be a Warner bros. thing?

I just watched this movie(Netflix rental) and had no problems with the subtitles other than about half of them falling below the screen. I had to frame the picture above my bottom border and leave a black bar below the picture in order to read the bottom half.

I had no issues. Just went to audio--> subtitles and turned on Japanese PCM with English subtitles.
