Hi there. Ive got a problem with a couple of my Blu-Ray titles while playing them on the computer (Using the latest PowerDVD and MPC). I dont get any audio out. From what I can tell its a codec problem. Ive updated my soundcards driver (Audigy ZS 2) to the latest one, but that wouldnt fix it. I think it has something to do with the primary audio of these discs, since Im not able to change the Audio-track with my players.

Ive compiled this list, which tells you what works and what doesnt, and what audio I get out when it works. I hope someone can tell me what Im missing, because I sure cant see it...

First you see the title. Then which audiotracks can be found on the disc. A questionmark means I cant find any info about it. The Output:-stuff shows you what my players give my speakers.

Working:
Hitchhikers Guide
English PCM 5.1 Surround (48kHz/16-Bit)
English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surorund
French Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround
Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround

Output: Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 640Kbps (Works in PDVD & MPC)

Saw
?
Output: Dolby Digital Surround EX (Only works in PDVD)

Silent Hill
English PCM 5.1 Surround
English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround

Output: Dolby Digital 5.1 (Only works in PDVD)

The Prestige
?
Output: Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 640Kbps (Works in PDVD & MPC)

Reservoir Dogs
English Dolby Digital EX Surround
English DTS-ES Matrixed 6.1 Surround
English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround

Output: Dolby Digital EX 5.1 (Only works in PDVD)

Not working at all:

Crank
English Uncompressed PCM 6.1 Surround
English Dolby Digital Surround EX

Ice Age 2
?

Pirates of the Carribean - The Curse of the Black Pearl
English PCM 5.1 Surround (48kHz/24-Bit)
English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround
French Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround
Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround

Thanks to anyone who gets involved.

how do you have your computer connected to your receiver. if you have it connected via optical, you won't get any of the Uncompressed PCM 5.1/6.1 tracks.

if powerdvd doesnt let you change audio tracks it's a piece of junk software. if you have the free version that came with hardware purchases and they excluded the option, shame on them. i find it hard to believe any dvd software wont let you change audio options, perhaps you just havent found them. you also should at least be able to change them at the main menu of the discs.

Ive got it hooked up via spdif to a marantz sr4000. But the problem is rather the software. Since neither of my apps recognize the audiostream I must be missing a codec, right?

And the PowerDVD-button where I am supposed to be able to change audio is just blank, unpressable. Is there any other application I can try?
