The audio video company who hard wired my new house says I wasn't wired for HDMI.

He suggests "rapid run cabling " using a conduit installed "just in case" we wanted to add more wiring down the road.

What is "rapid run wiring"?

Probably is his shorthand way of saying, "use a big, empty conduit wherever you might want to run wiring". This makes it easy (and "rapid") to install.

You also leave a piece of that blue pull-string inside each conduit, even when you pull the next wire in. That makes it even easier each time.
