Hey folks! I have used a few vendors now for my installations of HD video servers in museums, corporate showrooms, multi-screen display areas, etc. that all run remotely from a control room installation. The video and audio are transported over Cat 5e via a powered transmitter and receiver.
The video has always been either 720p or 1080i enocded as an MPEG-2 MP@HL transport stream with average high-def bit rates.
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this, as I am looking for a reliable company to provide a rock-steady solution for an upcoming project. In the past I have used such companies as Focus Enhancements (Mantis MG), Alcorn McBride (DVM-HD), custom configured PC's, etc.
I figured that if there was any place that I could find others who have done similar installations it would be here! :D
Thanks in advance,
-Lee
