Hi all,
I just finished setting up my new home theater, with an Onkyo TX-SR605 as the receiver and SVS SBS-01 speakers.
I have my components all hooked up using HDMI for video and audio (how cool), and I'm blown away by the quality of the receiver and the speakers, however, I've encountered a problem...
I get these "pops" every once in a while. It will only happen on one channel/satellite, and it's like a sharp "pop" or "crack". It happens more often with the comcast dvr, but it also happens with the dvd player as well (but definitely not as much).
Now, if it was just the comcast box, I would chalk it up to the fact that the box kind of sucks and it's an error in digital audio transmission, but since it happens on the dvd player (again, it happens about 10x as much on the comcast box) I'm wondering if there might be a problem with the receiver.
It is not frequent by any means, but I just put so much work and $$$ into all of this I want it to be perfect. I want to start debugging this problem...any suggestions?
