Hi,

I'm running an onkyo tx-sr304 with S/PDIF input from my creative x-fi card on a vista.
I'm not able to get sound when i play my dts 5.1 music disc (Brand new day) via powerdvd. But my AV receiver display shows that its getting dts signal.

Does this require any special changes to my sound card setup or receiver? I am able to get dolby surround without any problem. I've checked the box to include dts suppoprt also in my sound card setup.

Request forum members to kindly guide me.

Are you running a digital out from card to digital in on receiver? Review your manual and make sure that input is suitable for DTS (sometimes just because it's digital doesn't mean it goes through the receiver's decoder).
What I do with my Audigy 2 ZS is run analog 6 out to 6 in on receiver, and do decoding through software on the pc (VLC Media Player or WINDVD).
