I've wondered why e.g. Warner only includes Dolby Digital on mono tracks. It won't take up much space, so why not include lossless and/or PCM monotracks on the discs? A lot of older mono movies have powerful tracks, and especially some western movies. Sure, a lossless 5.1 tracks is not bad, but I always prefer the original track. How much space would a 2-hour mono TrueHD track use? Not much.
