Just bought this sight unseen today from Gamefly. Just got the email that it shipped and just purchased it for 41 bucks. I hope I didn't jump the gun but this game looks FUN! IGN gave it a decent score (8.0) and the user reviews seem to like it alot as well.

Anyone playing this? I heard the 4 player online play is very good. I was looking for a sports game with good online that I could play with a buddy that just picked up a PS3 last week.

I played the demo on my 360.... the top of 2nd inning, I was down 24 - 0! Of course it was my first time playing and didn't really know what was going on :)

^^^Sounds like a normal Bucco's (Pirates) game for me. No not in a game, real life unfortunately. Fifteen straight losing seasons is rough.

Ok I'm off topic but please post your thoughts on the game after you've played it for awhile Cysquatch. I like these types of games but they seem to get old quick.

been playing this a lot on 360, its the only baseball game I have played in years that doesn't bore me. Easy to pick up and play a few games. Good graphics, easy control scheme, and has a quick pace (which I like). Definitely not a baseball sim so if you are into stats look elsewhere. I always find myself wanting to play one more game.

Been playing the 360 demo. At first I didn't much care for it, but after being away for a while and firing it up again, it's pretty fun. Not sure if I'll pick it up now or later, though, but it'll definitely be the 360 version.

The real question is: how does it compare to Bad News Baseball? That's probably the last baseball game I could keep my interest in. The easy control and simple two-player support was great, and it's still a mainstay of my NES collection when I turn it on.

Think NFL Blitz but for baseball. Not for you sim geeks at all. Seems like a fun, beer-drinkin', trashtalkin', game. I've been playing the rookie challenge and am liking it alot. Love the scenario and stat chaser challenges. Can't wait to take this online (my buddy just got it today).
