Well, just trying to save a few bucks here and there ya know.

I am looking to buy Blood Diamond, Dead Silence, and Happy feet all on HD. And been looking for Letters to Jima, Ghostrider, Bridge to Teribitha, and Casino Royale on blu ray.

Thing is, the price sometimes on USED movies on ebay is more than the new ones on amazon with free shipping.

Any where else to look?

As much as I dislike them, FYE (online) has used discs. But do a price check on their prices before buying them. I've noticed sometimes their used prices are more than what a new disc would cost at Amazon or other places. Then once in a while you do find a good deal on a used title.

thanks, i have been noticing preorders of 300 going over 30 bux and on amazon.com it is only 27 and change with shipping. Same goes for casino royale. Been seeing used copies hit around 25 bux...what is up with that.

Check the AVS trading forum, they may be there for sell.

Amazon used sometimes has good prices. I bought about 5 disks from that way when we first got out HD-DVD. Half.com had some decent prices too.

Normally the $19 HD is a better deal from Amazon new. By the time shipping is added for a used copy.
Are BlockBuster and Netflix selling their used copies yet?

Do you not buy from the Amazon Market Sellers?
There are often good prices to be had there; used and new.
Just look under "more buying CHOICES" below the Amazon "Add to shopping cart" button.

If you have a Movie Stop near you, they sell used movies.

Another vote for the classifieds here, dvdtalk and hometheaterforum. Also, I'd suggest reviewing past threads on this same topic...since there are existing threads that maybe of help

Yet another vote. I've gotten excellent deals at the trade forums here and DVDtalk. On average, $13-15 per HD-DVD, which makes replacing my standard DVDs very palatable.

www.amazon.com
You can buy used from sellers. Its offten listed under the new price.

www.half.com.
Basicly a buy in now only version of ebay.

Otherwise like said try gamestops/movie stops they sometimes have good deals on movies.(although I find they list the movie just a few buck bellow amazon. Average price of 14.99-17.99) A pawn shop might be alright. I've cheeked a few and my area and saw nothing but I'd think some would if you looked hard enough.

Ebay's Half Off store is the best. I bought King Kong there for $11.99 new.
