Hey is there any way (aside from HTPC) to upconvert DVDs to 720p or 1080i/p via non digital interface such as VGA/composite?

I'm almost done making a DIY 1080p projector using a 15.4" widescreen laptop LCD but the video controller only accepts analog inputs... VGA/component/composite

would rather have a DVD player that could upconvert well vs use a HTPC
is there one out there? :confused:

at least I should be fine for HD football games this fall but movies are good too :cool:

Please use the search function since there are many threads asking about upscaling DVD players that upscale over component.
