Anyone else having difficulty with XB live service.
I don't play on it often, (Once every two months), so when I do log in, I expect it to work flawlessly.
Tryed playing C&C III online, and was able to log in briefly, and talk to some people before being disconnected.
Waited 45 minutes, tryed again to log in, and could not.
Anyone have a clue?

I was having a similar issue late last night with Gears of War.
Played in some matches where I'd get a few rounds in, and then suddenly everything would go quiet and teammates would continue "moving forward" around at which point I'd have to end the game. This happened 3 times...I'm not sure if it's my router or if the Live service glitched out at that time...worked fine earlier in the day.

Well since its not letting you log in you should perform the connection test and see what fails. If you are using a router, sometimes simply reseting your router and modem by unplugging them from the electrical outlet for 2 minutes can solve the problem.

^^^^Best advice I know.
Also, check the MTU setting on the router (it should be at least 1364, I believe).
On the other hand, if you have an approved router with the latest firmware, you shouldn't have any problems (assuming, of course, your connection issue is related to your router).
Then again, you may just have bad luck. XBL could have been having problems those few times you log on.

I have the same problem too, but when i run the Test it comes up as everything is fine, but Xbox Live Fails. I don't know what the deal is. It plays fine on Single Player and doesn't have a problem with reading discs.... Hope I don't have to get it fixed.

1) So your NAT says OPEN?
2) Try bypassing firewall/router and connecting directly into cable/dsl modem.
3) Some dsl/cable modems have firewall/routing as well. Some people don't realize this and have problems because they have 2 firewall/routers. If this is your case disable the modem firewall/router.
