I have not been successful in finding them in HD-DVD. Does that exist yet or did I miss it?

Law and Order (any season)
CSI Miami
CSI: Criminal Scene Investigation (both latest season)

None exist.

Hell, the SD DVD releases of L&O were full screen. They couldn't even get THAT right.

Oh well, maybe something will turn up sometime in the future. Thanks for the update

Google is a great way to find info on upcoming HD releases. Usually if you type something along the lines of "CSI on HD DVD" and there are no real results then nothing's been announced. ;)

Ever since I got my new HDTV in March (a 47" Olevia 747i 1080p LCD) I've become re-addicted to "Law & Order" repeats in high-def, mostly from the mothership show on TNT-HD and "Special Victims Unit" on Universal-HD. Unlike other shows that get the stretch-o-vision treatment on TNT-HD ("X-Files," "Angel," etc.) "L&O" is shown in proper HD. What's interesting is that TNT-HD rarely shows repeats from the early years of "L&O" (the Moriarty era plus the early McCoy episodes), but when they do (usually on weekends and as filler between/after NASCAR races or NBA games) they aren't stretched and are often times as sharp as the newer episodes from recent years. All these "L&O" repeats end with the NBC-Universal logo, which leads me to believe these are new HD masters commissioned by TNT from NBC-U. If NBC-U is sitting on a bunch of HD masters from "L&O" why not release them on HD-DVD and prop the format up with an adult-skewing exclusive TV series that can't be gotten on Blu-ray? I stopped buying the DVD Box Sets when Universal screwed-up the 16x9 framing of newer seasons of "SVU" and "CI" with 4x3 versions, so my hopes aren't up anybody at NBC-Universal would even think of doing this.

Interesting, thanks for the heads up on that. I wonder why they haven't released it on HD-DVD yet? It makes no sense...

Thanks for the heads up. What is Heimkino, exactly? I am not sure how to interrupt this because I am not sure if that photo is an advertisement or something else? Anyway, I've seen L&O and CSI available on DVD but nothing in Hi-Def as of yet. The thing is, once you see those shows in HD OTA it's hard to go back, you know?

Box sets like this are never cheap. However, if you ever seen any of them in HD OTA you would understand my preference.

I wonder why they haven't released it on HD-DVD yet? It makes no sense...

It makes no sense for them to release it now, when the HD formats are barely a blip on the radar in the sales department. Besides, given the ridiculously priced DVD sets for CSI, I'm not sure I'd want to know what the price would be for HD.

You do see the contradiction in your post? In any case, it's no help in this thread :D
