Has anyone here ever tried connecting the ethernet port on the back of one of these to a computer or home network to see what happens? Just curious.

I haven't really tried but did read a bit about the topic in AVS's forums. The composite outputs, ethernet, SATA, SmartCard, and firewire (50-50 chance) are all disabled by the CableCo.
