my buddy was trying to get 2 360's hooked up to his internet but he said when he would turn the second one on it would disconnect the first on this is with a diferant gold account on each one has anyone had this problem or is it even possable to have both on at the same time thanks

are they both connected to a router? if not, it's not going to work because each xbox needs it's own IP address.

Make sure both 360's are set to obtain an IP via DHCP. Sounds like they're fighting for the same IP address.

i agree. all else fails stick in static ips.

I had the same problem with my Linksys router. Only thing that worked was dumping the Linksys and get a D-link router.

I hate my Linksys. :(

Should be like just adding another computer to your network. Assign it an IP.....no problem for any router.

thanks guys that sounds like the problem with the ip he is going to check into it he also said it blocks the xbox from getting online after it kicks it fails for xbox live connection then he has to call them and they do something to let it back on by itself ofcoarse not with the other one strange how they lock it out like that

I have had 6 online at the same time. Using dhcp on the router. So something wierd is definitely going on.

I've had issues in the past with this, and things to look at are you DHCP sittings, UPNP settings (turn on), and your connection. In the dorms, we had this problem and tweekign the setting on the moded linksys helped alot.

I've had no problems with connecting two or three xboxs to live. I have a 768 upload speed. It works fine for 2 or 3. It sounds like a ip conflict. Can you system link them?

yes he said they could system link just not both get on line i will post what he finds when it is sorted out i guess one xbox is his brothers so next time he brings it over they will check on the ip settings

No more then with just one xbox. I have a 8mb download and 768 upload. I haven't had any major lag issues. 2 or 3 players in the same room is awesome.
