Eric D. 07-30-07, 05:04 PM I wonder if HBO will put out the whole series in HD now? Capek 07-30-07, 05:20 PM Some of the worst television I've ever forced myself to sit through. The ending was well done though. I can't believe there were so many dopes out there that didn't get it. scitek 07-30-07, 05:25 PM Some of the worst television I've ever forced myself to sit through. Capek 07-30-07, 05:27 PM "When you die, it's like someone just shuts off the lights. You don't feel a thing." To clarify, the dopes are the people who somehow took the ending to mean that he died. ;) turansformer 07-30-07, 05:37 PM We can debate day and night on what the ending signified, but I doubt we'll never know. Personally, I hated the ending. I've been a dedicated Sopranos fan since day one, and I understood the significance of the ending and the events leading up to it. But that doesn't mean for a second that I had to like it. Capek 07-30-07, 05:47 PM We can debate day and night on what the ending signified, but I doubt we'll never know. Personally, I hated the ending. I've been a dedicated Sopranos fan since day one, and I understood the significance of the ending and the events leading up to it. But that doesn't mean for a second that I had to like it. Can you think of a better way to convey to the audience the fact that, even on a normal night out, surrounded with his family, simply waiting for his daughter to arrive, Tony will for the rest of his life, when someone enters the room he's in, look up expecting to be shot to death? I found the ending to be an impressively authentic way of conveying what life is like for a mob boss like Tony, expecting every moment to be shot to death. Of course the rest of season 6 and season 4 as well were shite. But at least they were able to end it competently imo at least. turansformer 07-30-07, 05:52 PM Like I said, I understood the meaning behind it, but I didn't like it at all. Five minutes of footage showing Meadow trying to park her car didn't help either. |
