I have a Sony KV-36XBR800 thats about four years old.

Recently it has developed the following problem:

When turning on the tv sometimes the picture flashes and there is a clicking sound.

If this happens normally I turn off the set , wait an hour or so, then the set operates normally.

Can anyone please suggest the possible cause of the problem (power supply failing)?

I also would appreciate if anyone could suggest a RELIABLE & HONEST repair shop that could service this tv in the NYC area.
