I have not heard anyone talk about this yet. Sicko is a Weinstein release, and presumably they would have distribution rights as well. Is there any word that Weinstein is working on an HD DVD release in addition to DVD?

Nov. 6th the DVD is out, no HD DVD.

Weinstein cannot complain about lackluster sales of HD when they do this.

Is no one else tremendously frustrated by this? I do not buy DVDs anymore period. Weinstein get with the program!

I saw this at the theater, movie was decent, but honestly would a picture like this benefit from a high def transfer? It's like 28 Days Later, when the source is "documentary style" footage how much will it really benefit? I doubt very much at all.

Who would pay good money to watch this out right lie about the US healthcare system anyway? If you check the "facts" protrayed in the movie you will see that this is just one liberals opinion of our healthcare system.

Political? There was nothing political in his response. He was just referring to the portrayal of this movie. Its a good piece of fiction, but tries to portray itself as being based in reality. Try going to Cuba for their great health system =) Good for a laugh, but hardly worth getting an HD encode of.

I don't like everything about our health care system but, this movie was laughable. All of Moore's docs are laughable IMO. He bends and stretches the truth to fit his own agenda and then tries to pass it off as 100% fact just to get a rise out of people. Ask anyone who has made it out of Cuba and now resides in the US which health care system the really prefer.

But the scary thing is, is that many believe it and pass it off as fact. There are a ton of folks out there saying "we need Universal Health Care." Karl Marx is smiling in his grave.

I have not heard anything yet about the HD-release.

I think Weinsteins are being very conservative with its regards to High Def. releases. Probably being alittle tight with money now adays. It could be another year before something like this, and the full Grindhouse movie to be released. Let people buy it on DVD, and then a year later when HD is rolling start re-releasing in a special addition!


But I wouldnt bring this movie up on these kind of websites. Even though your intent was pure, look above to see the character we have here. Plus some are trolls.
