So I am on the fence between a couple of 5.1 choices. Can anyone help with some opinions?

HTD option -
- HD-R80 (x2 - rears) High Definition, round in-ceiling speakers with 8" driver (PAIR)
- Level TWO Powered Subwoofer
- Flat Panel Speaker (x3 - LC&R)

OR

BIC option -
BIC v1020 Powered Subwoofer
(PAIR) BIC America MSR 8 In Ceiling (white) (x2 - rears)
BIC Acoustech Cinema Series HT-65 (x3 - LC&R)

The BICs are about $185 less than the HTDs with shipping (at least the best prices for both that I could find. Both put me over my $650 target so going that extra $185 is a stretch. But is it worth it in the long run? I hear HTD mentioned on this board fairly often. But the user reviews for the BICs are really great. And one more factor is that it appears the black HTDs mains are backordered. :(

Thought that I'd run it by people smarter than I....

PS - I am going to order one or the other tomorrow, my new Onk 605 just came in and it is just sitting sadly in its box. Any advice is appreciated.

I don't have any experience with either of those speakers. I would suggest though if you go with the Bic system you get the Bic H-100 sub or go with another brand. The H-100 is leaps ahead of any other sub Bic has to offer.

I second Jakeman. I have the H100 and love it, but I have never heard the speakers. Bypass the other BIC subs.
