This is a poll about how many and what type of HD players forum members have.

I have just 1 PS3 but am considering buying another one soon.

1. A PS3. I won't be in the market for anything else for a long time.

Just a toshibia A1 right now.

But plan on a BD player as well. Prehapps a DVHS player. And a gen 3HD-DVD player

HD-A2 right now

In the market for a BD standalone player.

I have a Toshiba A1 and a Xbox HD-DVD drive.

I support only HD-DVD so thats all I need. I love my A1 and would not change it out for anything until it's really cheap lol.

My A1 is problem free and don't mind waiting for it to load up!

Just sold off my Panny which would have made it four.

TivoHD - surely that counts as a "high definition player"! ;) Two other cable boxes capable of HD as well as every set in the house is an HD set.

bought a 60GB PS3 on launch day...almost bought one during the price drop...will wait to see if there is another price drop around the holidays...

Three HDTV's though...

The pertinent question really is - does anyone outside of this forum own an HD player? Probably not, and that's why both formats will have such a tough time against DVD.

Some of my friends that own a PS3 only have one Blu-Ray for their system an they have had it for 6 months. I on the other hand have owned a PS3 for 2 weeks and have 9 Blu-Ray titles and more coming.

I use to have the Xbox 360 add-on but, sold it so I could get a stand-alone...the friend I sold it to is buying alot of HD DVDs now and he loves it.

P.S. None of the people I mentioned know anything about these forums.

I have 2, an HD-A2 and my Dell M90 laptop. The A2 is my main player, I don't hook up the M90 to the TV very often.

1 x PS3, 1 x 360/add-on. 100% satisfied with the PS3 but not so much with the add-on. Been shopping the Toshibas for awihle and was pretty close to getting a D2 when it was $249. Now I'm waiting for the deal to get just a BIT better. I'm hoping to see $199 shipped with a copy of Complete Matrix and maybe DVE. ;)

Otherwise, i'll be waiting for a dual format Denon.

(I found this interesting of the people in US (I included the guy from Canada because most sales number include Canada and assumed everyone that didn't list location from the US)

I know its a small sample and a different than normal consumers.
Toshiba said there are 150,000 HDDVD players and there are 150,000 Add-Ons.
If the average HDDVD owner owns 2 players this could be a major reason they get beat 60:40 or more every week.)

If that part derails the threads purpose I will delete it.

This is something I have been considering for some time. I would not be terribly surprised to learn that there are only 250,000 or even as few as 200,000 owners of HD DVD players with many of them having more than one.
