EDIT: If November was next to September, that would definately be the strongest 60 days of releases.
Edit 2: This is from Game tracker. Please let me know if something is out of date or in error. I'll try to keep this list current if there is any interest.
Edit 3: There are several errors on this list. The general opinion seems to be release dates are too speculative. Therefore I won't be updating this list or hyperlinking reviews.
rtweezy 07-31-07, 10:40 PM Thanks for the list, there are quite a few titles that are must-have for me in that list. Also, I believe Colin Mcrae: Dirt was already released.
dpe8598 07-31-07, 10:44 PM I think this Fall is probably the strongest ever for one console (360) and the strongest ever for all consoles together. The only competition would probably be 2001.
josephmckinney 07-31-07, 10:52 PM I think this Fall is probably the strongest ever for one console (360) and the strongest ever for all consoles together. The only competition would probably be 2001.
Absolutely,
This lineup is a slam dunk for any gamer! Time to reactivate my gamefly subscription!
LENNY 2112 07-31-07, 10:56 PM I'm going Broke this year.
football76 07-31-07, 11:00 PM +1 on being broke... not a good time to be a poor college student...
I'm gonna need to adjust my financial aid package... :p
mboojigga 07-31-07, 11:22 PM I thoguht EA delayed Bad Company to 08
babrown92 07-31-07, 11:25 PM Yhere are a lot of games coming out in the next couple of months, but not as many as listed here:

Those are the main games that I'm pretty much 100% positive wont be released in the next 60 days, or this year for that matter. Most of these dates are just placeholders until a real release date is announced.
Still a pretty good lineup.

NoThru22 08-01-07, 08:43 AM Those dates are pulled from someone's rear end. A lot of those games may not even see release this YEAR!
jrogacki 08-01-07, 09:42 AM Yeah Indiana jones seems not likely due to the movie release in May 08
LENNY 2112 08-01-07, 10:01 AM Well we all know there are some huge titles coming out before the years end regardless of the list. For me here is $420+ already on preorder.
Halo3
COD4
Mass Effect
Bioshock
Assassins Creed
Ace Combat
Two Worlds
This is what we all been waiting for (AAA-games) and these games are enough to keep me personally busy til this time next year.
Been looking forward to 2 Days To Vegas but September 1, 2007 is definitely not the release date. All signs seem to indicate that this title is vaporware.
krimson 08-01-07, 10:07 AM ...now just to keep busy for 20 more days.
I'm actually thinking of trying out TWO WORLDS. It's supposed to be a bigger, better Oblivion with 8 person online multiplayer.
BTW I think I agree with the poster that said the release dates are too speculative. Therefore I won't go back and add the links to previews and official sites to the list.
Low Roller 08-01-07, 11:43 AM Huxley.....I remember this game being part of MS's E3 conference a couple years ago when the unveiled the 360.
Haven't heard hardly anything about it since. I was wondering if it was was still being made.
Those release dates are based on retailer's data (EB, Gamestop, etc.). Many that show the first of the month, like 9/1 or 10/1 as a release day are just placeholders for the product listing in the retailer's system and will not be released even close to that date 90% of the time.

Yeah, I sat down last night and planned out my purchases. They fell roughly into these categories:
Definite
BioShock
Halo 3
Mass Effect
COD4
Probable
GTA4
Ace Combat 6
Assassin’s Creed
Orange Box
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
Medal of Honor: Airborne
Maybe
Eternal Sonata
Lost Odyssey
Blue Dragon
Stranglehold
Army of 2
NCAA CFB ‘08
BlackSite: Area 51
Two Worlds
I don't know where I'm going to get the money, and more importantly, the time, to enjoy many of these titles. I suspect I will be picking up most of them months later after they've been discounted. But those first four look like major winners.
maximuslcd 08-01-07, 03:26 PM yeah, kind like M/S planned it this way...mabye when they suspected a price drop form ps3?
Mindwarper 08-01-07, 03:40 PM I will also be broke. I buy two copies.
My must haves
Madden 08
Halo3
Mass effect
Area 51 blacksite
Bioshock
Left4dead
cod4
Does anyone know if Skate will be a race game or a trick game like tony hawk? I like exotic racers. Also any sci fi rpg like mass effect in the pipeline?
Lots of great games. Im anxious about the review for Tiger Woods 08 as well. I loved 2004, hated 2006 on the 360, but now the course list is getting up there again and the new game face that allows you to import your picture is awesome!
HoodedSoldier 08-01-07, 03:43 PM I know for a fact brothers in arms and bad company are not being released this year.
celluloideyes 08-01-07, 03:57 PM I will also be broke. I buy two copies.

You buy 2 copies? Huh?
jasonstiller 08-01-07, 04:16 PM What the hell is Dog Tags?
LENNY 2112 08-01-07, 04:35 PM What the hell is Dog Tags?
That game was announced in 2005, it has been off the radar for awhile.

kylebisme 08-01-07, 04:37 PM Those release dates are based on retailer's data (EB, Gamestop, etc.).
No etc, Gamestop owns EB, they use the same inventory system, and that is exactly where that list came from.
ooPAYNEoo 08-01-07, 04:52 PM being that I STUPIDLY had to drop $400 for a locksmith recently, I have to sew my wallet shut. I'll probably do COD4, and GTAIV. If I slip, it will be on Sega Rally and Bioshock. I cannot (in good conscience ;) ) put down more than $300 around the holidays. When you add the purchases up... it just... MAN.
Huxley.....I remember this game being part of MS's E3 conference a couple years ago when the unveiled the 360.
Haven't heard hardly anything about it since. I was wondering if it was was still being made.
Yeah, I remember being intrigued about it a couple years back...and then nothing. It was sort of a FPS/RPG in a "Brave New World" type of futuristic setting. Can't be a good sign that there's been no news on it - though I'm guessing that September release date isn't real...
Mindwarper 08-01-07, 06:37 PM I have two 360's and two tvs (well three honestly) for system link and xbl gaming. I love co op and playing my friends. It is much better to hear them bitch in real life then over the headset. I hate split screen gaming. I have a xbox as well so we can play 3 way games if they are bc. Plus 3 ps2 games. I can't wait for halo3 and area 51 story mode co op.
You buy 2 copies? Huh?
Probable
GTA4
Ace Combat 6
Assassin’s Creed
Orange Box
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
Medal of Honor: Airborne
Good to see you list Brother In Arms: Hell's Highway. I thought it looked amazing at E3. I know the WWII setting feels a little tapped-out for many but this title doesn't seem to be getting it's due.
Anyways, expensive couple of months coming up but this is what gaming is all about. And these titles will probably keep most of us satisfied for a long time.
