I perform educational assemblies at elementary schools using a DVD player and projector. Sometimes my allotted time is cut short due to various reasons. This means I need to shorten my show on the fly. To do this I simply advance chapters on my DVD player, modifying/shortening my assembly.

The problem is that my Sony DVD player shows a blue bar across the top portion of the screen with the chapter info in it. The DVD player will not allow me to remove it.

Does anyone know of an inexpensive DVD Player that when you advance a chapter, nothing displays on the screen?
