I've been trying to fix my Sony KD-34XBR970 because it has geometry, convergence
issue, and yellow cloudy tint on the right side. I don't know if you guys have the
same servicer but "QUALX SERVICE" is the worst servicer ever. The guys just keep
arguing and arguing and they won't replace the parts because they "feel" that it
doesn't need it. They ordered it and everything but they won't replace it. They
overscan the issue and didn't do anything. What can I do for them to replace or
even fix the damn thing. Is there anyway I can do?

Geometry and convergence problems are common with just about about every CRT sold, especially geometry. And although convergence is usually OK it is almost never perfect. Same with overscan, it's just about always a disgraceful mess on every new tube TV you buy. I don't think you'll have much luck getting them to fix those problems because those are considered acceptable by them. Somehow they are able to get all these things flawless on $99 CRT PC monitors but getting them even close to correct with $1,000 CRT HDTVs is like putting a man on Mars for these companies for whatever reason. The yellow tint thing that you speak of is odd though.

au revoir

Vertical convergence and geometry can be fixed by you with a little time, patience, and the test patterns found in the service menu. From what I have heard, I don't think I'd want any of these so-called "TV technicians" even touching my TV.

However, the yellow cloudy tint sounds bad, and I would not know how to fix it since I have not encountered it. That's what I would be most concerned about.

Is your 2 year warranty still in effect?

Yes.
