I am looking to get a new HDTV, but I’m not sure which one to get. I do, however, have my choices narrowed down to five different TVs:

JVC HD-56FH97

Panasonic TH-42px75u

Panasonic TH-42PZ700u

Panasonic TH-50px75u

Sharp LC42D72U

How much lag is there on these tvs? Does anyone have the results from the Guitar Hero test?

Should I look more into DLPs as well?

Thanks,
Phil

Panny 50" plasma, 1080p...done. You will NEVER see lag or ghosting on plasma.

I got the 42" last year, since I got it, wished I got the 50. Other then that, best image I've seen yet.....well, without spending many thousands more at least.

He's not referring to ghosting, but rather gaming lag, generally caused due to scaling. That is still prevalent on a plasma.

I knew that, I just mentioned it as well as Lag. I have never heard of anyone having lag issues on a Panny plasma.

I have the JVC HD-56FC97 (From Costco) and I am VERY pleased and surprised how good the 360 looks on it (via component). I have DishHD and the picture couldn't be any better. For the price and if you don't mind it not being a Flat Panel, this is the tv to get. I went through 3 different tv's to find this one and couldn't be happier.

Panasonic TH-42PZ700u

I just got this TV and it is pure awesome. Think CRT on a wall; the picture is silk. 50" would be better, but the price jumps ALOT.

I dont honestly know how it compares to the other TVs listed. I just wanted the 1080p plasma and I found a good deal online.
