what how Samsung PS-50C91H Plasma TV, indept D.I.Y. (seriously) component video input calibration, get and try it..

Hi all,
I would like to get you again, For you to try it again.
Now, this model from Samsung (Samsung PS-50C91H Plasma TV) has been fine tuning color temperature by professional calibrator or yourself, with usually menu.
I have several inputs RGB values, but in the moment I would like to get you at Component Video input only for you try to calibrated your device by yourself.
In natural light, (or No lighting in the room) {If has the fluorescent light, the pictures will cooler and changing the white balance}
In natural light (With Giec GK-3318 DVD Player)
***GK-3318 especially at the medium and low IRE, it toward to greenish a little bit than Pioneer DVR-745H, 745H toward to greenish a little bit than Pioneer BDP-LX70 Blu-Ray disc Player entire the grayscale range but oppo DV-981 tint to greenish than DVR-745H and GK-3318( Reference with grayscale pattern)

The values are..
R-Offset----- 8
G-Offset---- 13
B-Offset---- 0
R-Gain------ 0
G-Gain---- 30
B-Gain----- 0

0----------------I---------------30
-15- Default

Brightness : about 47
Contrast : about <80
Color : about 50-52
In
Picture : Movie
Color Temp : Warm 2
Gamma = 0
Tint = 50
Color space = Wide
And may be set the Dynamic Contrast from off to Low position.

This post calibration is :
Full white is toward to pinkish very a little bit than HDMI post calibration. Other IRE may be toward to greenish a little bit.

When compare with the factory default setting, the factory setting would have been toward to pinkish than my post calibration and my post has been clearer most color detail most resolution accurate color and more depth image.

About my post:
Around the middle IRE are about 6500K (very close at the middle) but at the white and the black shade, it cooler than that .

About the default setting :
It tint to pinkish very and very much entire the grayscale range. At the movie picture mode and Warm 2 color temperature, It close to 6500K very much but too pinkish and can take the usually resolution. Warm 1 may be cooler than Warm 2 at high IRE, it tint to pinkish and bluish.
The green and red tint to blue a little bit.

Sorry, pardon me if I have been made mistake about English grammar and vocabulary.

Thank,
Sermchai-Phoenixdiydisplaycalibration.

Hi all

I have been working about test report the display devices about ten years or more, I have been ever testing many of Samsung PDP TV but this model especialy at post calibration for several input, It has been very and very good.

I have been ever used colorimeter (Minolta CA-100) and some chroma video pattern generator with some display device (about 5-6 month ago I have not them again) I used them about 1 year, I liked to done with them.

But before and after I used that, I have not made mistake about the target 6500K white point entire the grayscale range.

I have the best shots of movie from some DVDs (with grayscale pattern from some reference DVDs too and for the last time I worked with my DVDs for grayscale) for reference all post calibration.

I care about best white balance tracking for the higest target and care about the great tracking of the target white point (6500K or about that-need closest 6500K at around 50-70IRE)

I would like to got you some input's device for you to try calibration by youself, although you have not been color and video display device calibration experince.
But, becase I would like to got you at the simple. although, my calibration not the same your calibration because about your DVD player and your light around the device not the same, please take care about "no lighting in the room" for this case.

You are able to fine tune the red and green gain for the best white balance tracking for your DVD player and will be done with the RGB offset if the RGB gain don't worked well enough (for the base, RGB gain for the white and RGB offset for the black)

thanks, good luck for your calibration
