I seem to have hairs somewhere inside my DLP TV. One of them is very large and blurry and a couple others you can only see when you are a couple of inches from the TV(not that I watch it from this close). I called a local toshiba service center and they can clean the TV, however the $400 price tag quite honestly sucks.

My question is, what are the chances I could take the back off and clean the dust /hair out of it? It has been a great TV. I'd rather save the money for a new TV if I can't clean it myself.

Any other ideas?

Has anyone else had this problem with their DLP? I saw another thread about the mirrors coming off and creating shadows. Samsung I think.

The thing about cleaning the hairs out is it could happen again in a year. So I'd rather do it myself and save some money.

Any takers for a reply?
