i was over at buy.com and saw a sale they were having...sales on sony, paramount and fox titles with a good bunch of titles starting at $15.00. In addition they have the save $10 with google checkout going on so there are some good prices there...thought i would pass it along!

Worked alright for me. Picked up Casino Royale and Memento. Would recommend Layer Cake / Blackhawk Down to anyone who doesn't have them yet. Great movies at a steal for around 8 dollars after the discount!

working here too.

Picked up Layer Cake, in anticipation of getting a PS3 in the near future.

I take it the 15$ Fifth Element is not the remastered version.

Is it worth it to save the $5 plus tax and do the trade in for fifth element?

It looks like Fifth Element on sale for $15 is the older edition from looking at the spec.

They want $41 for Shooter (Blu-ray).

Wow, that's some sale they've got going on over there.

"They" is a third party retailer who wants $8+ for shipping. The other 5 pages of discs are all decent prices, most with free shipping. But, if you want to ignore the sale and be snarky, knock yourself out.

Doesn't look all that inviting to me. All the $15 ones are not that desireable. C'mon buy.com, give us somethin' to believe in.

I get draw into sales like this buying titles as Wolfie said are less desireable. Hence why I have a copy of Resident Evil sitting in my buy.com cart. ;) The only thing is I opened a new google account/email address and it's not allowing me to take advantage of the $10 off. I've not used that promotion since winter time...

Lame! Now Kingdom of Heaven goes on sale. They used to sell it for $35.

They are catching on to my attempts to use my many work aliases and canceled my last order. I'm saving my other personal emails for Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean 3.

Edit: And Babel too! Damn! My fiance wanted that movie.

Pretty tempted by Resident Evil 2 for $15, but I keep telling myself to wait for the box set when RE3 hits BD.

Knight's Tale for $15 too, but from what I've read there's room for improvement on that one.

You can tell if its the newer remastered version because Buy.com offers the release date for each Blu-ray title in the description.

The remastered Fifth Element should show a release date from Jul 17 2007.

The old Fifth Element should show a release date from Nov 2006.

You can just keep making new gmail accounts since they now make it easy to make a new account. Made two new ones and grabbed apocalypto and the departed. gotta love the $10 off.

I wouldn't suggest doing too many with the same mailing address, and payment.

Google checkout canceled one of my orders recently because I had ordered like 4 items with all new mailing accounts...

I also don't have a BD player yet, though I will be grabbing a few of those $15 BDs with the Google discount soon. :)

Debating whether Speed and Revenge is worth it.

I wish Amazon would have that 50% sale again like what they had earlier this year.I wound up missing out on it debating whether I should buy or not.I'm glad I took advantage of this one.Casino Royale and Ice Age,with the $10 buy.com new user promo, wound up costing me $18.50 a piece. Not sure about some of those $15 BDs though.I promised myself I wouldn't buy just for the sake of buying(like I did early on with DVD) unless I really liked the movie. What's Layer Cake like, worth owning(I thought Craig rocked in Casino Royale)?

I completely agree, and I'm only buying blu ray movies that I intend on watching multiple times down the road. I picked up Kung Fu Hustle because I really enjoyed the movie, and already have alot of others that were worth purchasing, imo (The fact that I got it for <$7 made it worth it to me :D ). I have layer cake on blu and think it's a great movie. If you liked Lock stock and/or Snatch, you'll like Layer Cake. It's a classic Guy Ritchie film and is one I can watch over.

I'm pretty picky buying blu ray movies though.. If it's rated below Silver on the rating thread I have to really want it, otherwise it's not worth double dipping imo. There are several titles in this class that I wish were worth the upgrade from DVD.. I wanted to pick up Big Fish also but it doesn't seem worth it to me.

Speed was pretty good as far as PQ goes considering the age of the movie. At least, I was pretty impressed by it. =) Can't comment on Revenge though.
