I am new so please don't blast, but I am trying to split the HDMI signal to my 42" magnavox LCD in my bedroom from my Dish ViP622 box and found this splitter from monoprice 1 to 2 hdmi.
My only thing is I have only 1 hdmi output and am guessing I would have to watch the same thing on both TV's if I even got it to work?

Correct though HDMI splitting usually doesn't work due to HDCP, the output on the 622 needs to be able to handshake with your display, if two displays are trying to handshake it could cause problems.
Another thing to do it if the splitter doesn't work is to determine if the 622 can output component and HDMI simultaneously and hook one display up via component and the other HDMI.

I am really new to this and don't quite know what you mean here? Sorry.

It won't work. What we're saying is your 622 has TWO HD outputs on TV1--HDMI and component.
You can send component cables out to your other TV. HDMI doesn't like long runs anyway.
Yes, you will have to watch the same thing on both TV's unless you want to watch standard definition on TV2. Then you can send that information via UHF or coax from the 622's TV2 output.

This is what I am doing now, as it actually has the dual tv ability just not both in hi-def. Oh well thanks anyway
