Hey I got a couple of gift cards from BB and would like to get a DVD Rec...what would you guys reccomend as far as quality?

Features I'd like?
As much as possible...

- I don't need a Hard Drive since I have a DVR and I guess I can record there and then pass it on to DVD.

- HDMI would be nice
- Tuners would be nice but not required
- USB port?

I'd really appreciate your help as I'm new to the DVD recording scene...

Thanks guys...

Keep an eye out for a CLOEOUT Panny ES15 for less than $100.

Since you have no need/want for a HDD DVD Burner(although I still would recommend one in the long run as I think, and many others will too, that you will be happier with it), this is a nice cheap unit.

It has a GREAT LP(4 hour) recording level.

And the FR(flexible recording mode) up to 2HR 55min(it may be a couple minutes longer) onto one DVD-R/+R/-RW/+RW is REALLY NICE.

I just got one on closeout from Circuit City out the door for $85.

I mainly use it for DUBBING DVD's since I already have a Sony HX-900 for recording TV/digital reception.

But since you have a DVR already, I would go that route.
