Hi all,

I posted this question at the tail of another (somewhat related) thread, but it got almost no attention, except for one reply. I decided to start a thread for this to see if I get the answers I need....

I purchased a set of Coaster Showtime seats (5 in total) from HT Authority. The seats are black, but the levers (which activate the reclining mechanism) are BROWN in color, and they have a faux wood look to them. Honestly, in my opinion this seems completely out of place. I would guess these are the plastic levers that correspond to the Taupe (beige) seat.

Can people out there with the black seats confirm whether the levers are black as I would have expected them to be? I already heard from one member that his levers are black.

I'll post a pic of mine shortly...

Thanks.

Have a set of these chairs on our show floor and the handles are indeed brown.

It was I that replied to your inquiry in the other thread and mine are indeed black. Mine are 3 years old, maybe they changed the design. This isn't the best pic, but you can see (if you look closely) that they're indeed black.http://www.kellystewart.net/albums/albun05/right_back.sized.jpg

Yeah, those seats are different than mine altogether. I think mine don't even have 'feet' showing at the bottom like yours, and the headrest is different. Are you sure those are SHOWTIME model?

Hey, you're right, sorry about that. Mine are the Studio Collection. It's been so long since I bought them, I forgot which ones I had.

Seems like the Showtimes do have the brown faux wood handles. Here's a pic from Carolina Furniture Group (member of this forum and where I bought my chairs) of the Showtimes. You can see the handles.

Yup, those look brown too... Oh well... thinking of painting them black. :(
