ok I have had no problem with dvi all of a sudden its not synching up to my htpc I tried to diffrent video cards one nvidia(origanl) and a new ati no luck .I made sure dvi cable was good Im using 1280x 720
If I have to rewire for vga I will ,but Ive run out of ideas and frustrated .If anyone knows a fix for either ati or nvidia let me know

OR maybe buy a new oppo dvd player IF hdmi to dvi converter would work

ive been using my ptl500 pj (same thing) for 3 yrs, running a pan dvds77 (hdmi out to pjs dvi in) w/ no issues. i havent tried a htpc thru it thou. try the upscaling player, it may be less finicky than htpc.? i guess i wasnt much help.
