Hi,

Is there a Pioneer DVD player with HDMI output has the following feature:

- HDMI 1080p
- video setting deinterlace mode "Auto1/2",On/Off

I tested the DV-600 last night but it has NO deinterlace setting at all! Hence it does not properly deinterlace PAL and NTSC 2/2 pulldown content and the 3/2 pulldown performance is only average.

I know the new 1080p HDMI DVR model has the usual deinterlace setting. Is there a DVD player model with the same feature?

Thanks in advance.

regards,

Was the Pioneer 600 set on "Auto", or on NTSC or PAL.

I guess if you want good results of 3:2 pulldown you should head for Oppo, or maybe Denon?

I find the Pioneer 600 does a pretty good job in playing NTSC discs at 720p. It uses the Mediatek 1389 EXE wich is not that bad for deintralecing.
