I have a Mitsubishi WS-65511 that has stopped responding to remote commands. I have unplugged the set and let it sit, and pushed the system reset button, but it still does not work.

Any suggestions?

New batteries, dust or dirt or a smudge on the tv's sensor, try another remote, dead remote, broken sensor circuit inside the tv?

I had this happen on my 55511, it also messed up the front panel controls. The TV was stuck on one input until repaired. It turned out the front panel circuit board was faulty.

I cant tell how much it cost b/c I had an extended warranty. Only one I ever purchased on any thing. Used it several time on the TV.

Good Luck

Interesting, I am having the same issue with my WS-65511, no control via remote or front panel. Did you ever get this fixed? I called a local repair shop and they said the have been seeing this problem more and more with Mitsubishi's....anyone know what the issues are or how much it costs to fix? Is it a difficult repair? I am fairly technically inclined.

Thanks,
Scott

Anyone ever find a solution to this problem? Mine just started doing the same thing. :(

Front panel buttons (switches) are the usual suspect. Disconnect the wires going to the front panel, plug Tv in, wait a minute, use remote to turn on.

It worked! Thank you so much for such a quick and simple fix. I can live without the front panel controls for now.

How do I access the front panel switch wires to disconnect?
Mine is the Mitsubishi WS 65711 version....

Thanks,

This may help, it's from the service manual

WS-65711 Front Cabinet Disassembly
1. Remove the Speaker Grilles and Unit Front by pulling forward.
2. Remove 2 screws (a) to remove the Control Panel.
3. Remove the Board Front by removing 4 screws (b).
4. Remove the 4 screws (c) holding the Screen Assembly.
5. Lift the Screen Assembly up and away from the cabinet.
