I am planning to purchase a plasma tv in the next couple of months and it seems that most brick and mortar stores are about 20% more expensive (when taking sales tax into account), which amounts to many hundreds of dollars. This has me looking to buy online, but I am unsure about the dealers and shipping.
I know to make sure that the online store has good ratings and feedback and to make sure they are selling the model with the US warranty, but is there anything else I should look out for?
Also, if the TV is damaged upon delivery, as long as I have not signed for it yet, the delivery company is responsible for shipping it back, right? (I plan to tip the delivery guy some money to let me power it up before signing for it.)
Thanks.
