I am looking for advice. I decided that I want to purchase DirecTV HD service and NFL Sunday Ticket/Superfan for use with my front projector.

Do I have to make sure that they are giving me the best hardware available? Is there a certain dish model and receiver model that I should expect as a new customer? Example, is it no question that I should be receive a 5LNB dish if I expect to receive signals from the new bird?

Also, do you think there is any chance of them discounting the HD DVR ($199 after instant rebate) and NFL Superfan? How do you go about haggling this.

Did you get a better deal than the one advertised ($199)? I am considering doing exactly what you are thinking. Did you get the best hardware?
