My Parents are remodeling there living room/ Theater.
My mom's Requirements were no visible wires.
For what it is worth the room is not ideal for sound or video.

It is very much a hall with three doorways I wish I had a picture to show.
There is a sliding door to the left of the screen.
an interior door to the right of the screen.
With a large hall in the far back corner to the front door of their house.
the LCD will be mounted center on the wall with a Fireplace down and left and a Built in Book case down and right.

They will Probably start installation within a week or two.
I was hoping for some Opinions and comments on this setup.
My main concern is the in ceiling speakers how do they sound?
Any last minute advise Before they start the project

To Respect the AV Guy no prices are listed.
The Quote from the AV guy they like the best has them down for

Niles 750 7" in Ceiling Speakers Front L R and Rear L R
Niles 760DS-C Directional Center
Denon 2307 or 2308 AVR

Tributaries Cables
Mid Atlantic SRS Series sliding rotating rack with Component shelves
MX850 remote with MRF-300 RF
Niles SW10 Sub
Panamax 5100-EX
With one of their in wall Power Max/Pro Surge outlet kits for the lcd
Pro Mounts UT PRO300

They are keeping their 46" Sony Bravia and OPPO 971

Thank you

I think you know the answers already don't you. Ceiling speakers unless they are the best do not sound good and even the best don't sound as good just because they are IN the ceiling. and to add that to a room that will have nothing but acoustic problems, well if they don't know any better then maybe they will be happy with it.
Sorry but there it is, can't make a silk purse as they say!

Thanks for the reply McCall
I know what you mean, However it is better then what they had and given the room etc...

I think I will repost my question more specifically about the speakers in the speaker forum. Since that is what it really comes down too.

I just want to use the time now to offer any changes to them, prior to starting the room wiring.

Thanks again
