Oh NO! This evening, our trusty Pioneer RPTV of about 5 1/2 years old was working as normal.
After putting our little one to bed, I came back downstairs and turned it on. After a couple of second it turned itself into standby mode (light on front of set goes from red to green). It would not turn back on from standby, ignored commands from the remote.
Turned the set off. On again. The set turned on in standby mode (red light). This is unusual, as the set almost always goes straight to green light and turns on. I used the remote to power up the set; the front light turned green, but after about two seconds went back into unreponsive standby mode.
I've unplugged the set and left it for ten minutes, but that hasn't helped. It keeps going into unresponsive standby mode.
Any idea what's up with my poor set? I only had it recalibrated about a month ago!!! Please help!
