hey guys I am not sure if this has been answered or not but about a year ago i put up a lcd flat panel display above my fireplace to make it center however i could not use 4 large screws into the 2 by 6s that are behind the dry wall so i compromised and put two very large screws into a 2 by 6 in the middle and then at the four corners of the wall bracket i used molly bolts that i believe were rated at about 75 pounds each of vertical stress weight. what i am wondering is back then i had a 68 pound lcd 42 inch tv i want to upgrade to a 52 inch lcd tv which i am not sure but may weigh about 25 pounds more would this be enough to hold it or should i not chance it? any suggestions. thanks.

I would only install a large TV against a stud. If I were you I'd open the wall and brace the mounting spot.

but technically i am in a stud altough just in the middle of the wall mount, so the wall mount is into a stud in the middle and on all 4 corners into dry wall with large molly bolts. it has held my 42 inch just fine and my 47 inch just fine i am just wondering if i can go to the 52 inch without any problems?
