i bought a monster hdmi 500 cable . my question is are any of the hdmi cables capable of hdmi 1.3 or do i need to buy specific hdmi cables any help?

An HDMI cable is an HDMI cable. Any cable will work, but keep in mind that both components you're connecting must meet the 1.3 spec. If you link a 1.3 device to a 1.2 device, they'll both operate under the 1.2 spec.
