Is there really a difference in picture quality between an HDMI switch costing $40 on ebay vs. one that costs $300?

Both seem to have the same features. Can there really be a difference in the quality between these two HDMI switches?

Without knowing the brands you are talking about I can't say, but a lot of us here at AVS Forum are using a HDMI switches from monoPrice. I'm using one with three components; DVD player, Cable box, a PC with HDMI output. If you want to buy a switcher I would suggest you get one from monoPrice because their prices are very low but high quality. I'm using this HDMI Switcher (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id=1011002&p_id=2777&seq=1&format=2) without any problems at all.

I’m using the same switch as Basilisk. Running Cable box, and Xbox 360 with no problems. I tried a $150.00 one, can’t remember the brand, from a local retailer but it would not pass the Xbox signal at all.
