I used the Onkyo HT-550 Receiver( audio and vid) through the three HDMI slots) that came with 7 speakers. I only hooked up 5. I played back "Roger Waters in the Flesh"-sacd- Incredible discrete sound from all 5 speakers plus the sub. You have to set the Oppo to multichannel on the setup menu- that is the key. This unit also plays DVD-Audio- amazing freaking sound. Any other advice from you guys? And don't be pithy. :) or bloviate.

I've been listening to SACD with my 981 and harmon kardon and i agree that it is awesome! I use hdmi hookup for the audio.
