(Sango or Gary Murrell or ? in the house?)

Well she finally died on me and I hate to let her go... I see a few people that were fixing them for listers a few years back. Anyone like Sango or Gary still offering this service?

Or is it time to move on... It still looked so good on my Pioneer HD-730 I am scared to get something else. The xbox hd does not even look as good to me but maybe my HK AVR 7200 cant pass full HD via its component switching...

Thanks for any advice on the repair of the RP82 or moving along to the next new hotness.

Time to let the dinosaur rest. It's not worth $50+ to repair. If you really love DCDi 480p component, there are other option out there. If your display can't do HDMI, it may be time to upgrade the TV as well. With HDMI upconversion, there are loads of better DVD players including the new HD-DVD or BD players.

All new Faroudja players a subject to maroblocking on some displays unlike the revered old war horses of yesteryear. :) IIRC the bug happens during deinterlacing.
