I need some advice on picking out a projector for the conference room at work. Our budget is $1500 but if there's something out there that's is much better and is only a few hundred more I will consider that also. With that said...it's going to be a ceiling mount approximately 14-16 ft away from the screen. The screen will be 92x52. I am new to this so if there is additional information needed, I will get it. Thanks in advance for the help.
Considering:
Dell 2400MP

The ones I see around our workplace that has been going for years and are on almost all the time are made by NEC.

The Dell that you are currently looking at is pretty good, we have that in one of our remote offices and the manager of there said that it was working fine

Why are you looking at a 4:3 projector when you have a 16:9 screen? I would go with a panasonic ax100 if you need a bright 16:9 projector. Plus with the 2x zoom and lens shift, set up will be snap
There's no way on earth anyone shold consider the Dell with a $1,500 budget. I wouldn't consider it with a $700 budget. Not that it's bad or anything, but there is better. The Dell's seem to be known for premature lamp failure too.
Get Sharp DT-500. That is all. It is a light canon when it needs to be and it's a great overall projector. It will easily beat the Dell. Or you can get an HD1000U for under $800 at projector people. Add a three year lamp warranty for only $99. Not bad. Better than the Dell still.

The Sanyo Z5 is also quite bright as well. You have lots of options. Try looking for comparisons on projectorcentral.com, or call the folks at projectorpeople.com for their recommendations.

According to the reviews on CNET.com they highly recommended the Dell 2400MP and it receive a review of 8.1 which is pretty good compared to others. And at the price of $1000 it seems like a bargain to me for a projector with 3000 lumens. Keep the recommendations coming guys, as I am still new to this and doing more research as I go along. Thanks for the help.
